Met Mr. Noriaki Abe, Minister for Political Affairs at the Embassy of Japan in New Delhi, over breakfast as he prepares to leave India for his next diplomatic assignment in Europe.
We had a conversation about his experiences in India and the evolving India–Japan partnership, including the growing opportunities for cooperation in technology, defence, trade and investment, culture and people-to-people ties.
During his tenure in India, Mr. Abe has actively engaged with think tanks, research institutions, media and political organisations, contributing to the conversations and connections that underpin the broader strategic partnership between India and Japan.
Ms. Leila Kazi, Specialist in Economic Affairs at Japan’s Consulate in Mumbai, also joined us for breakfast.
Wishing Mr. Abe all the very best for his new assignment in Europe and the next chapter of his diplomatic journey.
