At the Africa Day celebrations in New Delhi

Attended the Africa Day celebrations at The Ashok Hotel, New Delhi, which brought together more than 1,300 dignitaries representing almost all 54 African countries, along with diplomats, government officials, business leaders and guests from other parts of the world.

The programme featured addresses by H.E. Mohamed Maliki, Ambassador of Morocco to India and Dean of the African Group of Heads of Mission, H.E. Jacqueline Mukangira, Ambassador of Rwanda to India, and Chief Guest Dr. S. Jaishankar, Minister of External Affairs.
In his address, Dr. Jaishankar spoke about the growing India-Africa partnership, highlighting expanding diplomatic engagement, stronger trade and technology cooperation, development partnerships, defence and maritime collaboration, and the alignment between the vision of Viksit Bharat 2047 and Africa's Agenda 2063.

The celebrations included cultural performances by artists from African countries and India, reflecting the diversity of the continent and the long-standing ties between India and Africa.
