Organised under the stewardship of H.E. Fernando Xavier Bucheli Vargas, Ambassador of Ecuador to India, the reception brought together ambassadors and diplomats, government representatives, industrialists, investors and experts engaged with Latin America.
Shri Pabitra Margherita, Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, was the Chief Guest. In their addresses, the Ambassador and the Minister spoke about the growing engagement between India and Ecuador, while also placing the relationship in the broader context of India’s expanding ties with Latin America.
The formal proceedings were followed by conversations and networking, accompanied by Latin American music — a fitting setting to celebrate Ecuador’s National Day and the strengthening connections between India and the region.
