A Discussion with the Czech Ambassador to India

Had an insightful meeting with Her Excellency Dr. Eliška Žigová, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India. Our conversation explored the geopolitical, cultural and economic forces reshaping the world order, including the implications of the conflicts in Eastern Europe and the Gulf region.

We also discussed the progress towards the India–EU Free Trade Agreement and the potential for deepening economic, strategic and people-to-people ties between India and the Czech Republic.

Her Excellency’s deep knowledge of India’s history and culture, along with her keen interest in Buddhism, added a rich dimension to our conversation. I was also pleased to present her with a copy of my new book, Indus Cities to Harsha’s Empire: The Long Arc of Indian Civilisation.
