Shri. Rajesh Vaishnaw, Additional Secretary, Ministry of External Affairs, was the Chief Guest at an evening that celebrated the enduring friendship between India and Trinidad and Tobago.
In his address, High Commissioner Singh reflected on the remarkable historical journey of the Indian community in Trinidad and Tobago. He recalled how Indian indentured labourers were taken across the oceans to work on plantations in a distant land, and how subsequent generations emerged from that difficult history as free citizens who helped build modern, independent nations moving steadily towards greater prosperity and development.
The highlight of the evening was a musical performance by High Commissioner Singh and his wife, Anita Chandradath Singh, bringing a warm and personal dimension to the celebration.
