A memorable evening celebrating the 205th anniversary of the Independence of Guatemala in New Delhi.
It was a pleasure to attend the reception hosted by H.E. Omar Lisandro Castañeda Solares, Ambassador of Guatemala to India, with Pabitra Margherita, Union Minister of State for External Affairs and Textiles, as the Chief Guest.
The gathering brought together ambassadors and diplomats, senior government officials, industry leaders, investors and members of the strategic community—reflecting the expanding engagement between India and Guatemala.
In their addresses, Ambassador Castañeda Solares and Minister Margherita spoke about the growing economic, geopolitical and cultural ties between the two countries, as well as India's deepening engagement with Latin America.
Against the backdrop of soulful Latin American music, the evening offered an excellent setting for conversations on diplomacy, trade, investment, and cultural connections.
